Festival Theme
The theme of the 2nd International Edremit Photography Festival has been determined as “MY PHOTO”.
In order for all amateur or professional photographers to participate in the festival, the subject is generally left open and each photographer is expected to participate by choosing the most beautiful photographs they have taken.
“MY PHOTO”
What catches your eye and fascinates you, what drives you to take a snapshot to preserve for future generations and share it with your family, friends and the world?
This could be a candid photo of someone having a contagious laugh, caught in a caught moment, or just looking thoughtfully. Maybe he’s a curious kid who finds something that sparks his curiosity. Or a cute dog or cat playing with a new toy.
For some, they enjoy taking photos of an eagle in majestic flight, or playful otters and other wildlife delighting onlookers. Others are the drama of the sun rising or setting and bathing the sky in deep yellow or orange. For some, it is the art of transforming ordinary landscapes into natural beauties or combining the old world with our ultra-modern lifestyle.
Whatever your taste, we invite you to attend this year’s Edremit Photography Festival in September. The theme is “My Photo” and it’s all about aiming your lens and hitting us with your best shot. Photography is a tool that allows us to express our thoughts and even our deepest, innermost feelings that cannot be expressed in words. But as the famous wisdom says, “A picture is worth a thousand words.”
If you’re so inclined, grab your camera and look for that winning shot that will showcase your talent. The topic, time and place are your choice. And it doesn’t matter if you are an experienced professional or just starting out, or have the best high-tech equipment, or just a modest camera.
Most of the time, it’s all about being in the right place at the right time to click that perfect shot.
Aim to surprise not only us, but everyone who loves a shoot they will never forget.
